The Green Hornet was first introduced as a radio program in 1936. The program was to work around the idea of a capped crusader who fought villains with much like how Batman and Robin worked. With a whole different concept of course. Not soon after in 1940 there was a movie of the Green Hornet. Then again in 1941 with the Green Hornet strikes again. The Green Hornet was a television series shown on the ABC U.S. television network. It aired for the 1966-1967 television season and starred Van Williams as both the Green Hornet and Britt Reid, and Bruce Lee as Kato. Although the program had little to offer the viewers because of the many other programs out there at the time getting most of the exposure , The Green Hornet series fizzled.
Most of the hype around the Green hornet was brought in about from the earliest time of its birth into the media which is why many people really thought it was to outdated to proceed with the whole idea, much like the Lone Ranger series.Green Hornet comic books began in December 1940. The series, titled Green Hornet Comics, were published by Helnit Comics
